As many of you know, Shannon, is battling an aggressive case of melanoma. What started as a simple skin lesion, has spread rather quickly throughout her body and has effected many vital organs. As you can imagine, this has taken quite a toll on our family; both mentally and physically. It is both unfortunate and amazing to see how your whole world can change in the blink of an eye.
Aggressive cancers require aggressive treatments. Some of her treatment options are not covered by insurance and therefore create a tremendous amount of out of pocket expenses. In fact, one of her therapy options may require her to travel out of state. With a limited income due to her inability to work, this will likely create a bit of a financial burden. However, we know you cannot put a price tag on one’s life.
Shannon is a faithful wife to her husband, Mike. A devoted and loving mother to Nathan, Luke and Landon. An amazing daughter to Elaine and a loving sister to Tonya and Michael. She is a loyal friend to many. Those that know Shannon well, also know that she would do anything in her power to help someone in need. Today, Shannon is the one in need. As a family, we stand united and ready to fight…side by side; hand in hand. We know there are many more memories to make, stories to tell, laughs to be laughed and tears to be shed. With perseverance and a lot of heart, we will not give up this fight!
So, humbly, we are asking for your generosity to help us get through this terrible time. If you are able to make a donation in an effort to help Shannon battle this devastating disease, we would be forever grateful.
