Tragically Hip

In mid-August I will have my 4th orthopedic surgery in 6 years. This will correct damage caused by a structural anomaly in the shape of my hip bones. I am so incredibly fortunate to have health insurance! Unfortunately, I have a large out-of-pocket limit which will greatly increase my personal debt. My employer is very supportive and is making it possible for me to return to work within a couple of weeks, but I will still have a few unpaid leave days.
