William is battling Cancer. His Mother is recovering from Cancer. His Father was recently in a car accident and is on disability. They will soon be homeless. I would love to give them enough money to get into an apartment. Ideally, to have enough to buy some gifts.
My friend Steven is only four. He suffers from a rare disease called ALD. Last week he received a second bone marrow transplant. This Christmas when he wakes up in the hospital, I want him to be surrounded by toys having no doubt that Santa is real.
When some of my friends and comedy heroes said they wanted to help, I was humbled and created this page to make it easier for their fans to get involved. All of the money raised here will go directly to families in need. My hope is to help them pay some bills, buy some gifts, and have enough peace of mind to enjoy this Holiday Season.
If we witness a genuine Christmas Miracle and more money gets raised than expected, there are plenty more kids and families that need help.
I specifically want to thank Mr. Bill Burr and his fans. You guys are the greatest. You helped total strangers. You created happiness. You alleviated pain. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
I'm writing this update from the bedside of my little buddy Steven. Please keep him and his family in your prayers, he is fighting so hard.
I feel obligated to let you know EXACTLY where the money you donated is going. A portion of the money you donated will help Steven's family pay for some unexpected plumbing bills. The rest is going straight to Santa.
William's family has located a home they would like to rent. Hopefully they will be able to move in right after the new year. We have given them the money to get into the home as well as enough to buy Christmas gifts for the family.
I just got off the phone with William. He is planning on helping us hand out toys tomorrow. In addition to the funds collected, an anonymous donor, gave us a huge stockpile of toys. We are handing the toys out tomorrow during lunch. This truly has been a miraculous Christmas Season.
I have asked the families to take some photos on Christmas Day so I can share them with you. I'm in the difficult position of balancing families privacy and providing you with the most accurate information. I'm so grateful for what you have done. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
Thank you for proving that people are amazing. You have created a Christmas Miracle.
This is truly going to be a magical Christmas for these families. A quick update. William's family is looking at a home this Friday. It will be their first real family home since a fire took their's four years ago. There are only a few things left on Steven's list for Santa. I have assured Steven's Mom that Santa will get everything on the list for both him and his sister Sophia.
Because of your boundless generosity, my wildest expectations have been exceeded. I am currently figuring out the best way to distribute these funds to do the most good.
1 Peter 1:6-7 (MSG) I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.
Blessings are coming in by the minute.
Christmas miracles are happening. God Bless and love to all.
