A New Heart For A Loving Person

I’m fortunate to be the uncle of a very special person, a person who sincerely loves her family and friends. Lisa Best has struggled with cardiomyopathy most of her adult life, she is a fighter! Now the time is upon us where Lisa is in need of a new heart. Thankfully the team at Yale New Haven Hospital has taken Lisa under their care as she awaits for a donor heart. Here’s what Lisa posted on Facebook when she learned her destiny: “I AM OFFICIALLY ON THE HEART TRANSPLANT LIST!!!!!!! Prayers for my family and Me.... AND PLEASE PRAY FOR MY DONOR AND THEIR FAMILY FOR SUCH AN UNSELFISH AND AMAZING GIFT. ALL IN GOD’S TIMING❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”Now the reality of healthcare costs have impacted the Best family. Many of the costs are covered but many others are not. Much of the costs of the necessary rejection drugs and other surgical procedures will be the responsibility of Lisa’s family.
