ETHAN'S KIDNEY DISEASE FUNDRAISER

On July 13, Our 11 yr old son Ethan's life changed forever. He was diagnosed w/ an extremely rare Kidney Disease called C3G- Glomerulopathy. This is a life long-Chronic Disease with NO cure. The prognosis & progression for most patients is that in about 10 yrs they face Dialysis or Kidney Transplant. Ethan has been sick for 4 1/2 yrs now. He was misdiagnosed. We were always told he had Nephritic Syndrome which he would someday day grow out of & be fine. That's not the case anymore..
This summer Ethan had another relapse & was not responding to his medication. He was admitted to CCMC where they did a Renal Biopsy on him. This is when we received his new C3G diagnosis. Ethan has been accepted into a world wide C3G Medical Study through the Iowa City University. On Oct 13 & 14 there is also a C3G Medical Conference in Iowa where patients & family from around the world travel to meet the doctors studying them, learn about new research & possible treatments. Familys are able to meet other C3G family's. Ethan will also be receiving his medical study blood draws while he is there. Please help Ethan get to his C3G testing. Please help Ethan go meet other "1 in a Million" kids... Words alone can not truely express how grateful we are. Thank you.
