Christopher Thomas was an awesome young man, with the best smile, personality and charm to match. And he had his entire life ahead of him. All that changed Wednesday when that young life was taken by senseless violence.
A whole community is feeling this loss, but that pales in comparison to the grief of his mother and father, who have to do the unfathomable, and say goodbye to their child. It pales in comparison to the 7 brothers and sisters who are left mourning the loss of their brother. And last but not least, his whole family, who are absolutely shattered.
No one expects these things to happen this way, and most people definitely don't plan for it. And in the wake of a tragedy like this, during all this grieving, plans have to be made.
This is already unbearable. At least maybe, with this, we can all help this family move closer to closure, to celebrate Chris' life, instead of focusing on all the negativity of the past few days. To ease the financial burden of a funeral that shouldn't even need to be.
