The Daniel Island Community Foundation is a nonprofit corporation duly organized under the laws of the State of South Carolina. This private 501 (c) 3 organization is financially supported by donations from Daniel Island Residents, businesses and employees.
The Daniel Island Community Foundation was set up as a vehicle to fund non-profit initiatives. A resident advisory committee has been established to assist in identifying charitable causes and organizations important to Daniel Island residents.
Annually, the cumulative tax deductible gifts that are donated to each of the below featured nonprofits will be matched up to $5,000 by the Daniel Island Community Fund.
About East Cooper Meals on Wheels:
East Cooper Meals on Wheels delivers daily nutrition to residents within our service area who are homebound or unable to provide their own meals. They also advocate on behalf of recipients whose needs exceed the scope of our program. They serve nutritious meals to all homebound residents east of the Cooper, regardless of age or income. They operate without a waiting list and there is never a charge for meals.
