Walking With Loxley Parker

By now I’m sure everyone knows Loxley. The loving, handsome, larger than life Loxley. If you don’t, I’d love to introduce you to the most gorgeous, determine, prove you wrong kinda boy I know. Loxley Parker is a 4 and a half year old boy with Cerebral Palsy plus other medical conditions and he is transitioning from preschool into kindergarten next year. At this current moment Loxley does NOT have a wheelchair and for loxley to go to kindergarten he requires to attend school in a wheelchair. Loxley and his therapist are working to get him walking but the family have had a huge amount of hiccups and a 15 month delay from NDIS with his walker. He has been fitted and sized and the earliest that NDIS can provide him one is April 2019, which clearly means he cannot go to school next year. The supplier seeing our urgency has offered a demonstration chair fitted for his needs which is available to purchase privately avoiding the NDIS delays but unable to be reimbursed. As this has all occurred within a one week period and there has been insuffiencent time to work out a long term saving plan for the funds required. It’s a lot of money for this family to find in such a short amount of time for something worth it’s weight in gold. I’m sure by now you’ve walked along this journey with Loxley, watched his family do everything in their power to protect, guide, love and help Loxley along the way, and we would just love to see loxley go to school next year, giving him the opportunity to live life, just like everyone else.
