Kailynn Rose Gilligan Breath Of Hope

Hi All, I hope you're having a good day so far. I'm reaching out to you because we have Chris Gilligan and/or Meyreato Gilligan a mutual friend, and I wanted to share their story with you. Their unborn daughter/ My niece Kailynn Rose Gilligan has been diagnosed congenital diaphragmatic hernia... this means there is a hole in her diaphragm that has caused everything in her abdomen to move up into her chest cavity.. her stomach is behind her heart and with everything being up there together her lungs can’t develop.. she only has a lung capacity of 2% and has given a very small chance of survival.. that being said they headed toPhiladelphia on Tuesday to meet with doctors that are experts at this.Tuesday 6/11/2018 Chris and Rea met with various specialist. They have been advised to relocated closer to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research institute. As of today 6/13/3018 . They will need to relocate in 2-4 weeks so they can monitor her!! Kailynn is only 4% in her weight and there is so much amniotic fluid they are very concerned about her!! Her lungs are being crushed by the liver and the intestines that they can’t grow at all!! Chris and Rea will be leaving Philadelphia tomorrow to come home for 2-4 weeks!! With all this, Chris and Rea have 2 year old twin boys Derek and Christopher. Rea also has a 10 year old son Alex. Rea and Chris will not be able to work, so this will cause a tremendous financial struggle. Our hope is to help them the best we can so Chris and Rea can focus on making sure they give Kailynn the best fighting chance possible.
