The Screen Festival Run

The Screen is a short film that I have been wanting to make for nearly a year, having gone through many rewrites and road blocks along the way. I’m happy to say that it is complete, and came out as close to perfect as possible; however, it cost me nearly all the money I had saved up to produce it - all of which was out of pocket. The reason I have this GoFundMe account set up is to raise money for the festival run of the film, since it can cost a lot to get it seen by people, honestly more than it cost to produce the film in the first place. I love the final product, and I would hate to have no one ever be able to see it. The proceeds will exclusively fund the festivals that are being applied to, including major festivals like the Cannes Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival, TIFF, the New York Film Festival, Sundance, and South by Southwest, and many minor festivals like local ones, horror fests, and short film exclusive festivals. I plan on submitting this film to at least 30 festivals, which is a lot for a film school student, especially for our budget. Making it into one or more of these major festivals can drastically change the life of the film, and those involved. The remainder of the proceeds (if there are any), will reimburse what was spent out of pocket for the film (props, equipment rentals, location securities, craft services, catering, etc).
