The Brain & Spine Foundation provides expert support to people affected by neurological problems. A close family friend Scheron Kaleem, aged 24, sadly passed away this Ramadan due to a brain haemorrhage (this is a bleeding that occurs in the brain) that happened whilst he was coming to the end of his studies at university. Also my cousin, aged 19, sadly suffers from a tumour on her spine which has resulted to her having to have surgery that would take months of recovery which will sadly impact her university studies.
This has been an overwhelming period as a result I have decided to take part in a 10K run on the 15th of July to raise money for the ‘Brain & Spine Foundation’ in honour of them. This charity is here to help individuals throughout their journey by providing expert support and information on the full range of neurological conditions and problems. Therefore making the process of anyone or who know someone who have been affected by brain and spine problems as easy as possible.
My Grandad was paralysed for many years due to a stroke that was caused by a brain haemorrhage. Sadly 3 weeks ago he passed away. This charity is so close to home and every donation is appreciated in these last few days.
