Miracles for Mia is a family and community initiative to support efforts to provide more treatment options, more medical research, and more hope for a very special girl Mia.
Mia is one of the 6% of young children who has been suffering from Thrombocystosis or Thrombocythemia. This is a blood disorder. A result of high platelet counts in the blood, which puts sufferers at risk of blood clots as well as hemophiliac conditions.
The only treatment program for her age at the time of diagnosis and now is chemotherapy, which has many side effects that cause extreme stress and pain to her body and mind. If we were to put Mia through chemo, a known side effect is a precursor to leukemia. The family pursued alternative measures, which proved successful! For 6 years, the cancer was dormant. Unfortunately, now at the age of 16, her platelet count has become dangerously active so we must take aggressive action now.
We have begun alternative treatment options again to help bring her body into remission as it did before. With your help of a donation, we can continue her treatments so that we may heal and calm her body through natural remedies.
