Next Stop Nationals!

Hey! Our names are Nicole, Delaney, Nikolett, and Melissa, and we are four rowers at the Newport Aquatic Center. At the recent Southwest Youth Regionals Championship regatta, we defied all the odds and qualified for nationals in the quad. As we crossed the finish line in third that day, joyous tears streamed down our faces because our dreams had come true.

We were the only boat to qualify for nationals on the women’s team this year and also the first quad in NAC history to make it to nationals. All four of us are seniors, and it will be our first and last chance to compete at nationals. We are beyond thrilled to race against the fastest crews from around the country at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, but we will need your help to get there.

There are many expenses that need to be covered to race at Natoma, and the cost is not covered in our payments for the regular season. Hotels, food, transportation, and boat entry fees are a few of the costs that each individual athlete must contribute to.

We kindly ask that you would help us defy the odds once again and make our dreams come true by donating to our cause! Also, our coach Mijo will do private rowing lessons for $50 per hour for anyone interested, and all the profit will go towards our nationals fund. Thank you, and go NAC!
