Support CMS Teachers as they Demand to be Heard in Raleigh
On Wednesday, May 16th, thousands of teachers and public school employees will travel from all over North Carolina to Raleigh to march for our students and rally for respect. Almost 3,000 Charlotte-Mecklenburg School teachers plan to attend in support of public education. We need your help and support.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Association of Educators is chartering buses and providing free rides to teachers and other staff. The response has been overwhelming but we believe that any employee of CMS who wants to go should have the opportunity to go and make his/her voice heard.
We cannot achieve anything without the support of our parents, students and the community at large. In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we ask that you consider donating to this fund in order to help with the cost of the buses and to provide breakfast (we leave so early), snacks and water to our marchers.
Many have asked how they can support us and this is one way. Please be assured that all funds donated will go directly to our efforts to increase the number of people advocating for public education. On May 16th, thank you for any amount - no matter how small as it will show that you believe in us. We are a nonprofit organization so any donation is tax deductible.
