Berry’s & brothers buz cut for BCNA

Growing up together in Karingal Crescent or ‘the best street in Horsham’ as we used to call it, with 20 other kids all our age and all the best of mates, was full of energy and excitement. But we now realise that alongside all of the 1v1 basketball games, the kicking of the footy after school, the bike jumps/cubby’s on spare blocks & the everyday walks to school that the support in times of tragedy is what has and still does at the ages of 18, 20, 21 & 22, bring us all together more than ever.
From the day that Jedda/Mum passed away from breast cancer, there was no question that one day we were gonna have a fair old crack at raising money for Breast Cancer. It was a must.
For us to be able to help one single family get through what we had to experience first hand, would mean the absolute world to all five of us to say the least.
So this is it.
This year on the 31st of July its 5 years without Jedda and it’s lined up perfectly with having the dreads for 5 years. With a goal of raising $20,000 the Berry boys(Joel, Jarrod & TJ), Benny Lakin & myself(Will Robbo) have teamed up to make a day of getting our melons shaved. Yep, even the dreads and Tj’s luscious locks are all comin right off! So make sure you’re there to watch!
All proceedings are going to the Breast Cancer Network Australia(BCNA). Represented by the Pink lady symbol,
the BCNA is an organisation that works to ensure that Australians affected by breast cancer receive the very best support, information, treatment & care appropriate to their individual needs.
It will be held in Horsham on Saturday the 6th of October and there will be some sort of a BBQ and a bit of a cheers with beers afterwards in memory or support of our loved ones.
