Michael Thackray's Cancer Battle
Michael has a large Synovial Sarcoma on his upper left thigh. My wife Tarnya and I are raising money to help with costs of the constant trips to the Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide for his treatment.
Michael has had his 4, 4 day sessions of chemo to shrink down the large, malignant tumour and undergone 5 weeks of radiotherapy too.
He will be having the large tumour removed from his upper thigh on Tuesday 9 Oct 2018 at the Flinders Medical Centre. The tumour is wrapped around the bone however, so they will need to remove most of his femur too and replace it with a titanium implant. This means that he will need to learn to walk again and will undergo extensive rehabilitation.
We will need to be away from home for weeks and this is very expensive. If you are able to help please donate to this worthy cause. If you are unable, please share the link to get the word out.
TEAM MICHAEL!
PS. A big thank you goes out to all who have helped out so far, it is very much appreciated and we will never forget the love you have shown for Michael!
