Lynn's breast cancer journey

Lynn went to her routine mammogram in mid-December, after which she was shocked to hear those dreaded words from the doctors, "We need you to come back in to get a biopsy." As friends, we all stood by her and encouraged her that this was nothing to worry about. Then she got the results that took us all by surprise in the worst way.

Being the strong woman that she is, Lynn was prepared for both outcomes. She put on her brave face and said "This is going to be fine, this will not define me."
Through ups and downs the last month, with courage, Lynn has had a strong attitude about dealing with this cancer. She is determined to be not just a survivor or a warrior, but a conqueror. She is a one-of-a-kind bad ass that I am proud to call a friend.
She has had an MRI and has surgery scheduled for Valentine's Day. Her journey is just beginning and she will need our support now more than ever, not just emotionally and physically being there for her, but to help alleviate the inevitable financial burdens that come along with this awful disease. She does have insurance, however a high deductible.
