Help Support Ruby

7 weeks ago, we rescued our sweet girl Ruby from a local rescue. The rescue had found Ruby abandoned and starving on the side of the highway during an ice storm earlier this year. After hearing her story and falling in love with her beautiful face and temperament, she was ours.

Unfortunately, one week ago she became very ill. It started with vomiting that now has terrifyingly evolved into what the Vet Specialists think is either leptospirosis or a toxicity that has caused her liver to suffer dramatically and over the weekend progressed into borderline liver failure amongst other health issues.

Despite the odds, our little fighter has started making baby steps in the right direction, but there is a long road ahead of us in order to get Ruby back to her wildly energetic and healthy self. After a week without food she’s started eating, her mood is increased and her body is starting to respond to treatments. The vets and nurses are hopeful that we are on the right track, but this process will not be easy.

We are asking for any financial help and support through this tough time in order to be able to continue to give Ruby the chance at life that she so strongly deserves.
