Police identified the two people who died of apparent gunshot wounds Tuesday, one of which was self-inflicted, police say.

Orlando Williams, 27, reportedly shot himself as police Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies were arriving to a welfare check in the 11400 block of Wade Road on Tuesday afternoon. After discovering Williams dead, they found Jakietha Wilson, 21, dead in a nearby truck.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies arrived around 4:45 p.m. after a woman had called 911 reporting seeing Williams walking around the property distraught with blood on him.

“One deputy arrived,” Fitzgerald said. “Apparently the female that called 911 was approaching him (the deputy) and they both heard a shot fired.”

At that time the deputy took the woman and put her at a safe location. Other units arrived and set up a parameter.

Shortly after, deputies found Williams with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in a second house on the same property.

“He lived at ... this location,” Fitzgerald said.

The deputies also discovered Wilson dead in a truck on scene with a gunshot wound, Fitzgerald said.

“They knew there was an unresponsive female with blood on her at the location,” Fitzgerald said. “I believe they located her shortly before, then once the scene was made secure, EMS was already staging, they came on the location and pronounced both (subjects) deceased.”

Fitzgerald was unable to confirm whether or not foul play is suspected in the Wilson’s death as it is still under investigation and pending an autopsy.

One neighbor said she had only said hello to the deceased man once before, but never noticed anything unusual about him. She had spoken to the relative a few times, but was unaware as to what could have led to the events that unfolded.

“We lived here for 40 years,” the neighbor said. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”
