John Clark

John Clark was a life changer. Following in the footsteps of his father, John enlisted into the U.S. Air Force serving during Desert Storm.  He willingly entered into a relationship of a single mother of two kids in 1989, children, ages one (Brian Roux) and two (Kayla Roux). Within the following year,  his one true biological daughter was born (Alyssa Clark). John was a very selfless man, who ALWAYS put his children first. He helped to raise his children to be hard working, strong spirited, and open minded individuals. His sense of humor was favorable and unbiased as his friends and close family members would describe him.  He was an intelligent man, who could spark up a conversation with anybody that would listen.

John battled with depression and ultimately lost.  Nobody in his family knew the extent of his struggle. John went through as many measures as possible to make the process of losing such a loved one as bearable as possible, writing letters to his children as to not blame themselves, explaining where every item of importance was placed, and exactly who to contact; along with his wishes and thoughts.  Help was part of the process that he could not receive. In his suicide letter he expressed,

"I have sought help but you would be amazed how difficult it can be, short of acting out like a crazy person. You would think a suicide hotline would do call backs, or that when you call for counseling they would at least do triage before requiring your insurance info. Also it seems terribly wrong to me that you also have to have the RIGHT insurance."

This is where we are asking for your help. Please help his children, family, and friends to raise the funds to pursue John's wishes and thoughts in regards to his memorial and service.

The family truly appreciates any contribution that could be offered. Whether it is a monetary donation, sharing, or even help to raise awareness of depression.
