Helping Hanalei

Donation protected
From beautiful Kaua’i to The Hanalei moon, this is our island. Devastated by the unexpected heavy rains and flooding. Pictured above is Hanalei valley, and I’m sure there are many more pictures of the devastation that Hanalei and our Hanalei ohana have endured. We cannot stop Mother Nature or what she can do to the land but we can help restore some of what was lost to those in Hanalei,Kauai. I have never lived in Hanalei, but I am from Kauai and have family there and if you have visited the beautiful Hanalei pier and seen the taro (Kalo) patches (Hanalei poi is the best) then you know the beauty and love that the community has for their land. The roads are closed and probably will remain that way for a while until they can clear all the land slides. I am not living on Kauai anymore and I only get to see how bad it is through pictures and seeing family posts but want to help in anyway I can, this is my hope you will want to help too. Any little bit will help to go to #helpingHanalei . Not to rebuild houses on the beach but to rebuild with a sense of community and help local families and local businesses that have been affected get any supplies they need while they are still down in the valley. Mahalo nui loa! (Please excuse the fact that I did not use any appropriate kahako or okina *I did not want to use the apostrophe)
