Morokebe Sanokho is a millet farmer in Central Senegal. He intends to build a bakery focused on integrating local cereals into the bread. His work is inspired and aided by SEYLOU Bakery and Mill in Washington DC. Funds raised go directly to infrastructure, equipment, and training.

Moro Kebe has begun his training in St. Louis with Amadou Gaye, Président of the National Federation of Senegalese Bakers! Here he will learn artisan bread as well as learn how to incorporate local cereals!

Some of the perimeter walls have been built, but the oven was unfortunately damaged due to heavy rain and will need repair. We are also searching for alternative ovens that have a longer life than these which are built out of only Earth.
Next month we are planning a training for Moro Kebe to go to Dakar to be trained with Amadou Gaye, the President of the National Federation of Senegalese Bakers, in the latest methods of incorporating local cereals into bread making. Stay turned!
