Help save Tyson

During the last week of September I noticed Tyson had been drinking excessive amounts of water. On Saturday 9/28 I rushed him to the vet because he seemed lethargic and was throwing up. The doctor diagnosed him with lymes disease and sent him home with doxycycline to treat him. Tyson has protein in his urine and his creatinine number was 1.6 (normal range is 1.5) the doctor was concerned that something is going on with his kidneys but because the number was so low he should be fine taking the doxycycline. Well Monday came and I didn’t feel right so I took him to his vet that wasn’t open on Saturday. The first half of the appointment went ok and she thought he would be ok. She suggested we did more blood work to recheck his creatinine and his numbers doubled to 3.6 in one day. She was extremely worried and said he needs to be hospitalized and more blood work needs to be done. His vet has been super helpful. She even did an ultrasound on his abdomen and saw that his prostate is enlarged which is not a good sign. She isn’t sure what is wrong with him yet but he clearly has a kidney issue going on. I’ve already spent close to $1000 in bills but his hospital stay is going be anywhere between $2500 to $5000 as of now, I’m praying and I hope you pray also that this doesn’t go up. Tyson is my life. After my mom passed away in 2016 we got him and he has filled a void in me. Anytime I talk about him I always tell people he is my therapy dog. Losing him would really break me.
