Diane Baker Endowment Scholarship

As many of you know, Diane Baker has been battling pancreatic cancer.  This beautiful woman has touched the hearts of many of us throughout the years as a collegue and educator.  Many of you maybe have even sat in her band hall at Hardin-Jefferson or other bands that she has been in front of over the years.   Her ability to get students to reach their potential musically surpasses that of many great educators of our day.  I have never come across a person who sat in her band or known her through her church or just sat and had a conversation with her ever say a negative thing about her.  Many of us have been impacted personally by her in some way or another.  I cannot imagine a finer person so deserving to have an endowment set up in her honor.  That is why we are asking that you help us reach our financial goal to be able to have an endowment set up in her honor at Lamar University for young aspiring Music Educators.  An endowment requires a minimum of $15,000 to be set up.  Please help us reach this goal in honoring Diane "Pattycake" Baker in a way that someone of her stature should be honored.  Thank you for anything and everything you are able to donate.  May God bless you and this financial campaign to honor her.  Thank you.
