A Cappella Academy 2018

Hi, everyone! My name is Alyssa Perez, I'm 18 years old, and I'm from Orlando, Florida.

Recently I've auditioned (click here to view my audition!) and once again been blessed enough to be admitted into the summer 2018 session of A Cappella Academy in Los Angeles, California . This is my second, and last, session with ACA and I'm in need of your help!

To recap, A Cappella Academy is a intensive and prestigious 10-day a cappella summer camp for vocalists ages 13-18. Being granted with the opportunity to attend A Cappella Academy last year was nothing short of a life-changing experience. I was able to meet with some of the most talented individuals from around the world and spread light through a cappella music.

The team at A Cappella Academy has given me the opportunity to not only explore out of my comfort zone in regard to my musicality, but completely catapult me into what it means to be a musician. I gained a family through my small group, Folkore (pictured above, and in this cool video ), we performed with Pentatonix at the Hollywood Bowl, and most importantly reiterated the importance and healing powers of music. Through choir rehearsals, musicianship lessons, and so much more I've found a home away from home.

Now, this is where you come in. As heavenly as camp is and sounds, it comes with a pretty hefty price. Not including travel expenses to/from LA or any other miscellaneous costs, the tuition of camp is $1995. This cost covers admission to camp (all educational costs, camp trips, etc.), food, and lodging.

Any penny or share of my page is more than enough! Just as it was last year, my experience at A Cappella Academy would be impossible without you.
