Cette campagne de financement a pour but d’amasser des fonds pour me permettre de représenter le Canada au Championnat du monde junior de télémark qui aura lieu à Murren en Suisse en Mars 2018.

Ce projet s’inscrit dans la démarche d’éventuellement représenter le Canada lorsque le télémark sera un sport olympique.

Ce projet me tient vraiment à cœur puisque je vais pouvoir perfectionner plusieurs éléments techniques, relever de nouveaux défis et participer à une expérience hors du commun

Qui est Antoine Bélanger-Morin

J’ai 19 ans et j’étudie en administration. J’ai été initié au télémark à l’âge de 10 ans par mon père. Ce dernier faisant déjà des compétitions à l’échelle internationale. Peu de temps après, je skiais en parcours, cherchant à aller de plus en plus vite.

Le télémark est un sport qui allie à la fois la descente en GS et du skating à la fin. Il y a également un saut dans le parcours qui permet de franchir une distance.

Je suis membre de l’équipe canadienne de télémark (TSCT) depuis 2015. J’ai participé à plus de 15 courses sur le circuit de la coupe du monde. Mon meilleur classement est 6e au niveau des juniors et 17e au niveau des adultes.

Suite à de bons résultats à l’étape de coupe du monde aux États-Unis en janvier 2018, j’ai été sollicité par Andreja Jovan, déléguée télémark de la FIS, pour participer au Championnat du monde junior en Suisse.

Mon projet

Le projet pour lequel je demande votre soutien me permettra de participer à des événements compétitifs en Europe, préparatoires au Championnat du monde junior de télémark 2018. En détail, je participerai à :

une course FIS à Thyon en Suisse – 4 mars 2018
un camp d’entraînement de 5 jours à Chamonix en France avec l’équipe de Grande Bretagne – 5 au 10 mars 2018
quatre courses FIS de la Coupe du monde à Rjukan en Norvège – 11 au 17 mars 2018
quatre courses FIS de la Coupe du monde pour le Championnat du monde de télémark en Suisse – 19 au 26 mars 2018
Le total des coûts pour participer à ces événements représente plus de 6 500 $. Cette somme couvre les déplacements, les frais de courses, d’entraînement et de séjour.

Telemark World junior championship 2018

The purpose of this fundraising campaign is to help provide me with the opportunity to represent Canada at the World Junior Telemark Championship in Murren, Switzerland, in March 2018. As a member of Telemark Ski Canada Télémark’s National team, we are working together to increase the visibility of this sport and bring Telemark racing to the Olympic Winter Games in the next few years.

After excellent standings of sixth place at Juniors and 17th place racing as an adult on the World Cup circuit, I have been invited to participate by FIS Telemark Delegate, Andreja Jovan (our International Ski Federation), to compete at the Junior World Championships in Switzerland in March. Please see below the itinerary of races in Europe, I am hoping to participate in this March.

A little bit about me, Antoine Bélanger-Morin

I am 19 years old and I study business administration in CEGEP (college), in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I was introduced to Telemark at the age of ten by my father, who was already competing internationally. This was my introduction to racing and I have been excited and motivated to compete since this time. I have recently participated in more than 15 races on the World Cup circuit.

European Race Circuit

My plan is to participate to these events:

One FIS race in Thyon, Switzerland - March 4, 2018
Five days at training camp in Chamonix, France with the Great Britain team - March 5-10, 2018
Four FIS World Cup races in Rjukan, Norway - March 11th to 17th, 2018
Four FIS World Cup races for the Telemark World Championship in Switzerland - March 19 to 26, 2018
The total cost to participate in these events is more than $ 6,500. These costs cover travel, racing, and training expenses.

Any contribution you can provide to me is truly appreciated. It will assist me to work towards my goal to represent Canada on the world stage of Telemark racing.
