Robbie Poe’s Brain Cancer Battle
On January 27th 2015, our world was turned upside down. After experiencing some headaches and double vision, Robbie was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Astrocytoma grade 4 Brain Cancer. He was given a prognosis of 12- 18 months. Two brain surgeries, high intensity whole brain radiation and chemo, chemo and more chemo, Robbie is now on experimental chemo and battling his 4th tumor. This has left Robbie legally blind in one eye and clinically blind in the other. As we approach the 4 year mark, we learned the medications are no longer working. The tumor is growing, and on November 12th and 13th we will meet with the team for tests and to schedule another surgery. This battle has come with a severe financial burden, both in time and money. Please help us support Robbie and his battle. It is hard on the entire family and the thought of not having the money needed to keep up is scary.+ Read More
With the new medication added, (not covered by insurance because he does not have malaria) it adds another $390.00 a month to his current medications. At almost $700.00 a month in medications, extra MRI’s not covered time off work, traveling expenses and the possibility of surgery again, money is just about depleted. We are so grateful for any support and help. We would not be able to continue to fight without you.
