Hello America,
My name is Pastor Ray Houston. I am the Director of True Believers Outlook Ministry, (www.motivatorray.org) a 501(c)3, nonprofit Christian Outreach Ministry for those whose lives are afflicted by drugs, alcohol or incarceration.
As we consider the devastation of drug abuse, especially in light of the current Opiate Epidemic: we all agree that something must be done. According to various polls Opioids kills more people under 50 years old than anything else, approximately 100 deaths per day. These polls state that this number could spike to 250 per day if the Synthetic Opioids Fentanyl and Carfentanil continues to spread rapidly (www.statnews.com, Opioids Could Kill..., 6/27/16).
Because of this crisis, there are way to many children left parentless each day, and way to many loved ones left devastated and grieving. And yes, way to many children themselves who are trying these drugs. This Is Where We Are Asking For Your Help.
As a former JUNKIE for over 27 years, with 24 years clean, I am compelled to reach out and help others. In my many years of dysfunction, Jesus allowed me to Avoid Jail and Dodge Death and to Successfully Raise my baby daughter as a single parent. Today my baby daughter, Cheriamor, is a college graduate and administrative assistant (Go Jesus!). She along with my other daughter, Neoccesh, who is also a college graduate with a degree in accounting, (Go Jesus!), and my loving and supportive wife and I, are a family driven ministry with a sincere desire to Help Hurting People who have been devastated by the sting of addiction.
Our Ministry is established to not only Help The Person Afflicted By The Addiction, but also to Reach Out To The Children, The Spouses, and Other Family Members of the addict; Who Are Also Trapped In The Pain Of The Addiction Of Their Loves Ones.
We currently have a weekly Support Group/Bible Study That is reaching, touching, and making a difference in the lives of the afflicted and their families. We operated a Ministry Home from 2008 to 2012 where we provided a one year housing program for those suffering from addiction or those being released from prison. These individuals were helped whether they had the ability to pay or not.
Our Christian Ministry is striving to once again Operate This In-House Program. This is where we are asking your assistance to keep the current Outreach going and to once again Operate an In-House Program.
