Help Rob Syverson Fight Amyloidosis
Last summer Rob was responding to a fire call and noticed that he was a little bit out of breath. This was very unusual because Rob exercised regularly and was in great shape. After making many trips to the doctors and many tests, Rob was diagnosed with Primary (AL) Amyloidosis. This disease causes his antibody-producing cells to not function properly and produce abnormal protein fibers that can damage his body's organs. His heart is suffering severely from these proteins. He has been undergoing chemotherapy and has been in good spirits. Rob has been visiting Boston in the past few weeks seeing the best doctors capable of battling this disease. He is going to undergo some costly treatments in the next 6 months in Boston. There are a lot of expenses that will be a burden to Rob and his family during the course of this treatment.
The Guys and I at the Firehouse would like to raise money for Rob and show our support to him and his family. We have set a high goal but any little bit you can donate will be appreciated! If you can not donate please keep Rob and his family in your prayers. Rob has no idea we are doing this for him, so we hope to surprise him! I would like to thank you all in advance for your support.
