Replace storm damaged roof
Today, the metal roof on our conference and office facility was severly damaged by an intense wind storm here in the Portland, OR area.
We need to restore the roof, and the funds we have are already committed to other projects.
The roof will require a complete tear-off and re-roof, as the cause of the failure is poor installation of the roofing material (before we took over the campus) and further damage is likely to follow.
This building is central to the operation of the retreat center and restoring it quickly is imperative.
On behalf of all those who benefit from this campus, our warmest thanks for your support and encouragement.

Here is a picture of the roof being replaced...Another week and the damage will be gone, and half the roof completely new. Thank you all, again!

After months of rainy weather, and the second roof being blown off (and repaired - see pictures below) the roof on Expansion Hall at Ananda Laurelwood is under repair - first steps, make more of a mess. Thank you all for your support!
March came in like a lion and blew off half of a second roof yesterday, as well as topping a large pine which fell across our access road and took out power for hours.
After decades of no appreciable damage like this, the Center is in the midst of an unusual karma that is purging it and setting up for renewal.
The roof on Expansion Hall will begin being replaced in the next dry spate here - so probably within the next couple of weeks. We will post pictures as it happens.
We have raised enough funds to cover the entire back of the building, and will stop there, if need be, but if there is enough inspiration and funding to help reroof the balance of Expansion Hall, we will be glad to give the entire building such a facelift.
Meanwhile, all blessings,

Greetings. As of a few minutes ago, we have signed the contract for the repair of the Ananda Laurelwood roof. Insurance agreed to pay for the repair and replacement of ~ 2/3 of the back of the building, and the funds raised thus far provide enough funds to pay for the remainder of the rear of the building. We are ~ $60,000 short of being able to replace the entire roof, which would be a strong statement energetically (having a two tone roof is not ideal).
However, we are moved by the support we have received, and glad that we have the opportunity to restore the campus this much.
We will provide pictures as the project progresses.
