In the Spirit of the Season, an Anonymous Group of Donors are Helping to Gift 28-year-old Shaken Baby Syndrome Survivor with Life-Saving Adult Stem Cell Treatment
FORT MILL, SC, December 28 – In the spirit of the season and to help to complete the generous and sacrificial giving of friends standing with Amanda Moral, a 28-year-old Shaken Baby Syndrome Survivor now given little time to live, an anonymous group of donors are providing a very gracious gifting that will complete the coverage needed for physician services. Having done so, Amanda will receive the extraordinary life-restoring adult stem cell treatment she needs. Amanda’s treatment has been scheduled for January 25. She will fly to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on January 24 and remain there for eight days for the completion of her treatment before flying home.
Remaining funds needed are for Amanda’s hospitalization and associated expenses for travel, hotel, etc. Those funds are estimated to be $15,000.
U.S. and international physicians and staff with extensive training and experience in adult stem cell therapy will treat Amanda. Stem cells from her own body will be used to put an end to the seizures and repair damage done to her brain and heart. Adult stem cells have been used to successfully treat patients with seizures. Following successful treatment, the goal for Amanda is to live a normal, healthy life and fulfill her goals and dreams. Among her many goals, Amanda plans on becoming an advocate for other SBS survivors, most of them children.
