Resonance Book Release Party

Resonance: Loud & Clear is my first collection of poems centered around my life the past 7 years. With this honest and raw publication, I am determined to show the reality of being a WOC in all the art I create in however the capacity allowed me. With heavy topics ranging from police brutality, domestic violence, heartbreak and abortion, I try to speak the truths of not just myself, but of the women who haven’t found the strength to speak their truths out loud.


Resonance speaks for women that go unheard and tells the unadulterated emotions that frankly, I’ve hid for many years, I’ve been angry for a long time. And last year, with the help and support of my team, we started preparing RESONANCE for public release. We’ve been working tirelessly. Along with the poetry book, we have managed to translate RESONANCE in other forms of media. Our talented videographer Anastasia Warren and I have managed to create a short film. Our graphic designer Candice Wood has lent her artistry creating graphics surrounded around the theme of RESONANCE. We are attempting to bring an immersive and moving artistic experience to GG’s on May 15th.


But, none of this can happen without you! To make our dream of the RESONANCE release party come true, we need your help! After issues with my previous publication company, I have made the decision to hand make ALL outgoing copies of RESONANCE. I would be using your donation to purchase prints of the graphics/photos and poetry book, paper, decorations, merch material, and entertainment for the RESONANCE book release party May 15th! My vision is to bring the art back to Brooklyn that reflects the people that are being pushed out. My story is similar to the stories of so many of us all over this city and I have the responsibility to share that story because we deserve to be heard.
