As one of the three branches of government, the judiciary plays a pivotal role is shaping and influencing all of our lives. With so much power, it’s only right the judiciary reflects all of our backgrounds and walks of life.
This GoFundMe was created to increase access to the courts for young lawyers who want to serve as judicial law clerks—amazing researchers and writers who assist federal and state judges in making decisions that affect us all. Unlike law firms who sponsor interviews, clerkship interviews, for the most part, are not funded.
In many cases clerkship interviews can end up being really expensive because applicants need to be ready to fly out and book a hotel room at a moment’s notice, sometimes even a day or two in advance.
Speaking from personal experience, I don’t want to see any applicant having to worry about funding their dream while they walk in their calling to contribute to the judiciary in a meaningful way.
Therefore, before this year ends, I want to make a difference. I want to end this year by giving, and I’ll need your help!
