Give Hope a Chance

This is Hope -

We saw hope at a coconut farm in Koh Samui while we were on a tour of the island. She had been hit with a car, and also had a very unpleasant open wound on her back end.

There was absolutely no way we could just leave her there in those conditions, so the next day we came back with our friend Ying and asked the owner if we could take her to be treated. They agreed, and we took her straight away to the vets to get a full check.

The vet informed us that the wound was in fact a Cancerous tumor and that she needed to start Chemotherapy right away.  So we went for it, and paid for her first dose of Chemo. She would also need to return several times over the next couple of months for more therapy (approximately 5 treatments, every 10 days).

As well as the cancer, Hope also has infections in both eyes and very bad skin problems from the sheer number of fleas and ticks - So, we paid for her eye drops, tablets, and flea treatment.

We knew we couldn't take her back to the coconut farm, so it became clear that we would need to take her home with us to ensure she got all the treatment she needed to get better, so we bought her a cage and some food to take back to ours.

We don't know what the outlook for hope is, but we do know that she's a little fighter. We didn't help her for thanks, we chose to help little Hope because we believe that every animal should have the opportunity to know what it's like to feel loved, no matter what.

When we rescued Hope we had no idea what was wrong with her and what treatment she would need. We now know what is needed (mostly), and we also know that we are not financially in a position to provide her with everything she needs, so that's where you can all help:-

- Each round of Chemotherapy costs approximately £40, and she will need at least 5 more rounds.
- Her eye drops and tablets come to around £10 per course (about 10 days worth)
- Due to the constant bleeding she needs regular changes of towels which cost around £2-5 each
- Cheap Food will cost us around £5 per week, and good food around £10
- Treats and snacks are about £0.50 for a pack

I have estimated our required amount to £500 as I hope this will be enough to get her on the road to recovery, and at the very least will be enough to give her the best possible life while she's with us.

Every little helps, so whatever you feel you can give will be so greatly appreciated. We will post constant progress updates for all of you that choose to help, and any left over money at the end will be donated to a local animal rescue charity in Koh Samui.

Thank You for your time, and thank you for giving Hope a chance!
