HELP RE-OPEN THE MYERS HOTEL BAR!

Donation protected
The Myers Hotel was constructed in 1878, by Molly Myers's uncle. He left the property in her stead and she ran a guest house for over thirty years, charging $2.25 for room and board; well known in the Midwest for her fried chicken and pie. We purchased the entire property and have dreams of restoring the building to her original glory. The property is bursting with potential; a barn, cottage and the main house all need your help. We would like to provide more live music, and offer local and nationally touring bands. We need electrical and plumbing improvements, an ice machine, and equipment for the non-functional kitchen. We intend to offer a full service coffee shop, and need an espresso machine, grinder, hot water tower, and more. The historic 1950's neon sign needs all new tubes and hardware. Rough estimates on improvements to the building are over $60K. In order to begin renovations and get the bar back up and running, we are asking for $15,000. We need your help to commit to the growth of a small, women owned business in a rural Kansas town. The only way to bring it back to life is through blood, sweat, tears, and your generous contribution. We believe every community, rural or urban, needs a place to call their own. I loved running the bar, and watching people connect on a weekly basis. Molly Myers was able to create community in her tiny town, 140 years ago, through her cornerstone hospitality. We hope to be able to continue to provide the same warm hospitality to you, very soon.
