MEOW MANOR has been rescuing infant feral kittens since 1999. Over 358 babies have entered, thrived and found new homes.  Now the elderly "unadoptables" remain and need dental care,  Along with their chronic medical challenges, dental is crucial to their overall well-being.  Currently we are down to 7 here.  Our long time veterinarian has retired and the new vet has discontinued  all shelter/rescue discounts.  This is devastating news for the residents.
We are funded by a few donations and the rest comes from my retirement account.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  GOD BLESS

This petite girl's family cannot afford her health care. Euthanization was in her future until a distant family member called me at MEOW. I would never let that happen. She is now in hospital getting diagnosed. Veterinarian will do a CT scan and some blood work to determine her ailment. We will hope her prognosis is a positive one for her and her family.
MEOW is constantly trying to raise funds to help pet owners who cannot afford health care for their pets, but now it seems that we are in financial difficulty and can't afford our own veterinarian costs. We will have to borrow our funds.
If everyone donated just a dollar throughout the country, imagine how many people we could help!

Caesar was rushed to the Animal Hospital yesterday am. He was wobbly and falling down and very disoriented. I was really afraid for him. After hours of testing and waiting, they have ruled out high blood pressure and heart. the conclusion could possibly be an inner ear infection and regulating his thyroid meds. Whew! He has been given antibiotics and anti nausea meds and is resting comfortably. Now we wait. Caesar has been with us for 15 years. He was passed by year after year. He is a forever resident at MEOW MANOR.

Macki is a three and a half year old spayed female cat whose life has just been overturned by the passing of her human "MOM". She had been in Meow's care for 3 weeks while her owner(my dear friend) was in the hospital. Never in our wildest dreams did we think that tragedy would strike and her human "mom" would never come home. Arrangements had never been secured for the care of her animals if something happened. Macki is now with us and beginning to settle down and hopefully soon, someone can give her a forever home. She has a great personality and is getting along well with the permanent residents. MEOW MANOR is totally funded so far by my social security and pet care services.
Any help you can give will be truly appreciated.

"CINNAMON" was dropped here 5 years ago....thought to be pregnant. She wasn't. She is F I V positive. Five years she was passed by for an adoptive family because she needs to be an only pet and has medical issues with an over active thyroid. Today came the tragic news that she has breast cancer after going in for a routine dental check. This has hit us hard at MEOW MANOR. We just lost a forever resident in January. An ultrasound and x-ray will determine if the cancer has spread anywhere else.
Hopefully not, because she really needs dental due to a couple of cracked teeth. Either way her medical expenses will surpass the $2000.00 mark. This fundraiser will help me to care for her and the other 11 residents at the MANOR all who have medical issues. THANK YOU and GOD BLESS

Read your note here about the new vet discontinuing any discounts. That doesn't seem like an animal lover. Just wondering if you have ever met the veterinarian at South Shore Animal Services (Kingston behind CVS/Ally Kat Lanes - 1 Tarkiln Rd) (781) 837-1323 I have been bringing my kitties to her for a couple years. She is a not-for-profit and is very reasonable with her service charges. I would go meet them and see if maybe they would be interested in working more closely with you. I have been very happy with them and that's coming from a single-Mom who always has a next to zero budget for extra expenses. Good luck, you do wonderful work!
