MEOW MANOR has been rescuing infant feral kittens since 1999. Over 358 babies have entered, thrived and found new homes.  Now one of our  senior "forever" residents has been in hospital for 4 days diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. He is now on heart meds and being watched carefully.   This expense is astromical and has well exceeded our account.  I am  mainly funded by my Social Security check.  Few donations come from friends, strangers and fundraisers. None even adding up to $500.00.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  GOD BLESS

ATTIC CAT roamed the 7 acre homestead across from MEOW MANOR for more than 10 years. Now his home has been torn down. He went to live with his human parent in another town and escaped twice only to come back to the homestead 5 miles away. We then decided to let him stay till the house came down. Now that it is down he has traveled across Rt 3A to my back deck. I have been feeding him there for the last month and a half. and finally on a cold windy night he went into the trap. He has 2 abcesses which have now been addressed by the vet and ticks galore, which have been taken care of and he is safe, warm, belly full and very restless.

"Friend" is home resting comfortably. He is now on heart meds once a day. For those who missed the original post he has been diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy; (a thickening of the walls of the left ventricle). Many ask me why I just don't put him down. Would you if it was one of yours? He is not dying! I will keep all posted. Thanks for all the well wishes and hope the Yard sale fundraiser goes well

This is "FRIEND" Rushed to VCA hospital on Sunday Aug 21st. His breathing was rapid and labored. He is in ICU and cardio tests are being given. He has been with MEOW since birth, escaping death at 2 months old with intestinal issues. He survived and thrived, but as he grew no one wanted a kitty with intestinal issues. So he has remained here "forever"
The results are in (wed) He has Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. HCM is a heart disease caused by the thickening of the walls in the left ventricle.
HE is back at MEOW Manor and needs to be watched carefully, His four day vacation (so to speak) left the Manor $2900 more in debt; added on the other $7,300.00 still owed on credit. "FRIEND" needs sponsors. THANK YOU and GOD Bless

This petite girl's family cannot afford her health care. Euthanization was in her future until a distant family member called me at MEOW. I would never let that happen. She is now in hospital getting diagnosed. Veterinarian will do a CT scan and some blood work to determine her ailment. We will hope her prognosis is a positive one for her and her family.
MEOW is constantly trying to raise funds to help pet owners who cannot afford health care for their pets, but now it seems that we are in financial difficulty and can't afford our own veterinarian costs. We will have to borrow our funds.
If everyone donated just a dollar throughout the country, imagine how many people we could help!

Read your note here about the new vet discontinuing any discounts. That doesn't seem like an animal lover. Just wondering if you have ever met the veterinarian at South Shore Animal Services (Kingston behind CVS/Ally Kat Lanes - 1 Tarkiln Rd) (781) 837-1323 I have been bringing my kitties to her for a couple years. She is a not-for-profit and is very reasonable with her service charges. I would go meet them and see if maybe they would be interested in working more closely with you. I have been very happy with them and that's coming from a single-Mom who always has a next to zero budget for extra expenses. Good luck, you do wonderful work!
