Help Arsen Fight Cancer

Hi Everybody, My name is Naro. You may remember last year I had written about my son Arsen, pictured above, who was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a form of bone cancer. He battled it like a trooper and for 4 months he was in the clear.  We were getting ready for a new school year, and I was getting ready to start a full time temp job.

At his second 3-month check up, unfortunately the doctors found that the Ewing Sarcoma came back to its original spot but a new spot appeared on his lung as well. To say that we all feel like we were hit head on by a mack truck doesn't even begin to express the shock and worry. I remember in the doctor's office Arsen, 16 1/2   now, took my hand and said to me, "its ok mom, we will fight it off just like the first time".

So we are back at clinic dealing with chemo treatments again. Cycles are three weeks now.  What's different is doctors aren't sure how long treatment will be. After two cycles Arsen will get all the tests done again. The test results determine the rest of the treatment plan.  

Please know that I struggled with doing this. It took me almost six weeks to decide to reach out.  At the end of the day I have to do whatever it takes as a single mother to get Arsen through this fight for life.  Its not only Arsen I have to worry about, its also Sarineh who is 13 now.  Believe me she is deeply affected by the cancer coming back again.

I am only able to work part-time, two days a week. Let's face it, working twelve hours a week is extremely limiting.  So I am reaching out to all of you again. Please know that your support is extremely appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please feel free to share this.
