My wife and I were both victims of a scam and bank fraud. She works for DoorDash and I work For Uber Eats. During her shift on Saturday August 15th she had a problem order and was contacted by DoorDash Customer Support. it turned out to be a scam and these people went into her doordash account, switched banks, and Fast Paid out all her earnings. Its a very elaborate scam. I will put a link explaining how it works

We live check to check and have had a hard month which has put us behind on bills. We had payment arrangements with several companies that could not be honored because of this. We contacted NBC news and they are running a story on it. (they're coming to our house tomorrow)
Because of this she is afraid to work for DoorDash now so has no earnings coming in. We are in danger of eviction and having our car reposed. NBC was able to recover her stolen earnings but the damage has been done.
DoorDash has known about this scam for almost a year and has not warned its employees through mass email or other means. Very Negligent.
So I decided to step up and do multiple long Uber Eats shifts. On Tuesday, August 18th after my shift I went to cash out and noticed I had earnings missing. Upon further review 2 unauthorized instapay transactions were made 7 minutes apart that were deposited into my bank.
Within minutes someone withdrew these funds from my account through an ATM. I never spoke to an Uber rep or US Bank rep asking for any personal info leading up to this. infact I was on full alert after what happened to my wife over the weekend so was closing monitoring our accounts.
These thieves were able to hack my Uber Driver account and then somehow make a duplicate of my ATM card and knew the PIN number. My debit card never leaves my possesion.
Now I can't cash out any of my earnings on Uber pending an investigation and my bank says it could take 10-45 days for me to get my money back. Living check to check I don't have time for this.
I've taken every step to try to fix this but everthing takes time. My wife and I are in danger of losing everything we worked so hard for. I would never even think of asking a crowdfunding site for help but we are desperate. Any help would be much appreciated.
Google DoorDash scam and you'll see this is a huge nationwide problem that DoorDash has done nothing about. This could have been avoided.
As far as my Uber and Bank account being hacked, it's under investigation and still very unclear.
We will be interviewing with NBC Los Angeles tomorrow and probably filing a class action lawsuit.
