Honor the Golden Retriever Needs Us

Honor......

Honor is a 3 year old golden retriever. On Sunday December 20, Honor stopped eating. On Monday morning we took her to her regular vet. Her temp was 101.1 and she was put on Metronidazole. With no improvement we took her back to the vet on Tuesday, and she had a temp of 104.7 and was put on a different antibiotic and given fluids. On Wednesday she went back to the vet after no improvement and she still had a high temp. In the afternoon she improved and her temp went back to normal. On Christmas Eve, her temp went up to 105 and she was rushed back to the vet. Her regular vet recommended that she be transferred to the animal emergency that is open 24/7. On Christmas Day her temp broke and she began to eat and act like she was feeling better, but today (December 26) her temp returned to 103 and her most recent temp was 105. She is currently on Doxicycline, prednisone, and a pain medication. She is currently being treated for tick borne diseases and meningitis, but we do not know what she actually has. She has had numerous tests but still no answers.
