Help Toxic Algae Bloom Live-aboards

Donation protected

Hello everyone, My wife and I are starting this campaign on behalf of ourselves and the rest of the live-aboard community here at Rosen Park due to the recent toxic algae bloom. The algae bloom has been declared a state of emergency by governor Rick Scott. Yet NO assistance has been granted to help relocate live-aboards. My wife is just about 8 months pregnant and we are very concerned about the long term health affects for our unborn child. Two other live-aboards here have been in and out of the hospital for respitory illness due to this toxic algae. My wife and I have been very proactive in reaching out to the governor's office, the senator's office, Cape Coral Mayor's office, and state representatives. Still, we have received NO assistance. According to Florida Health and the EPA, this bloom can cause Alzheimer's, ALS, liver cancer, sinus infections, upper respiratory sickness, and stomach illness. Our boats are in the water. We have no way to escape the odor and its affects. My wife and I have been on CNBC, FOX4, WINK News, front page of the News Press, and Daily Breeze news paper. Still NO help at all. We are asking for your help in meeting our goal for the current live-aboards. There are only 20 slips here. Those of us that have no family or resources to relocate are asking for your donation to help us relocate until this state of emergency is over and the mess is cleaned up.
