Stardust Sanctuary Education Center

Donation protected
This private retreat center is located in the Cayo district of Western Belize. Here extreme poverty prevents many teenagers from attending high school. School in Belize is not free. As a result, children aged 13 to 17 miss out on continuing their education at a critical age. This situation only reinforces their continued poverty and spiral downward into drugs, alcohol and crime. Pauline Schneider, a New York-state certified educator in Special Education, Social Studies and Visual Arts, along with her partner, Dr. Guy R. McPherson, PhD, professor emeritus of conservation biology, University of Arizona, are working to establish an educational club to help these youngsters find a better path to success. The building is nearing completion and was originally meant to serve as lodging. Now it stands as a promise to those disenfranchised by a violent global economy that dismisses children as disposable collateral damage. Please help us finish this education center that includes an art studio with kiln wiring. Upstairs are four rooms 14x12 and 14x14 Downstairs is a storage room and the future art studio. $4,400 has been raised so far, with personal funds far exceeding those donations. Please stand with this tiny community in the Mountain Pine Ridge valley. Please help us serve these young people.
