Let me introduce myself, my name is Harriet Burbidge-Smith, but you can call me Haz!
I'm a 22 year old Elite Women BMX/MTB racer and Youtube creator from Australia and have been racing for over 16 years. I am 2x World Champion, and 8x Australian Champion. Over the past two years I've spent my time coming back from getting knee surgery on both my knees, this year has been my first year back!
This GoFundMe is raising funds for me to compete in the 2018 4 cross Mountain Bike World Championships in Val de Sole, Italy on the 7-8th of July.
The beginning of the year I had a job, ran my clothing line, coaching and posting
content on youtube to get myself to the first few BMX World Cup rounds in Europe after saving most of 2017, only just coming home a month ago.. Only last night I got the news I was offered a spot on the Australian Team for the 4 Cross Mountain Bike WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!... BUT, I only have three weeks to workout flights, accommodation and everything else! This is not something I'd normally set up, and after 16 years in the sport and multiple surgeries and setbacks I've never set up something like this. Unfortunately in three weeks I just can't make the money up on my own. I am running multiple coaching sessions here in my home town Canberra, and working designing my clothing for myself and other brands, as well as my youtube content - everything I can think of to raise the money, including selling my gear. I can't begin to explain how much any donation means to me! and just how much competing at the World Champs would mean. All I can say is thank you so much!
