Help Out Our Chef!

Our chef, Chris Daniels, lost his son after a month long battle. His story begins with a phone call saying his son was in a terrible car accident. T-boned on the passenger side of the car, Chris's son suffered a terrible head injury. Weeks in the a coma and ICU, he was finally released to the hospital. Chris was so happy to bring him home to finish healing. A short time later, with complaints of blurred vision and massive headaches, Chris rushed his son back to the hospital. Emergency brain surgery was done leaving his son heavily sedated, with a shaved head and massive incisions that covered his skull. Fast forward another two weeks, Chris's son finally was back home and resting. Fearing another seizure, the Dr. ordered complete bed rest for the next 2 weeks. After almost a month, Chris finally made it back to work and his family stayed with his son giving 24- hour care needed after a major surgery. Less than a week later, Chris texted his management asking for more time off. This time it was needed to grieve, mourn and plan a funeral for his son who had passed away after suffering another seizure.
