Ashton's Feature Film

Hello I'm Leonie Kelly the Director of "Ashton's" my feature film.
I'm asking you to please come on board with this journey and help me complete this film.
We have already started production with part 1 being filmed in July this year.
So we now need your support.



STORY SYNOPSIS
Ashton's is a true Australian Drama set in the 1800's highlighting the great success of the Ashton Circus family amidst the hardship of the Gold Mining era -
The story of the travelling circus conquering all.





We anticipate this film being completed by end of 2018.

OUR VISION

'Ashton's' will be an action spectacular and  dramatic film.
We will recreate the harsh Australian pioneering era.

OUR GOAL

We would like to tell the story of The Ashton's incorporating the historical research and bringing it to the screen.

The Ashton's film will also be used to raise Australia's awareness of our Pioneer history and promote tourism in Regional NSW & QLD.
We will also enter the film into International & Australian film festivals with hope of winning an award.

We even hope to get  Ashton's on television!

 This will hopefully become a vital stepping stone for director Leonie Kelly' proposed 2-hour epic feature of  Ashton's story.
So if you want to see an epic Ashton's feature at your local cinema complex in the near future - this is your way of making the dream come alive.

WHAT WE NEED

We need to raise an addititional $50,000 to start shooting the new scenes required for the feature film.

THE CAST

We have already cast a handful of actors but there will be more casting to do for the next stages of this film.


Ben Fletcher as James Henry Ashton. 
Ben is a rising actor from Tamworth who has been cast  due to superb dramatic talents and his physical likeness to the real James Henry Ashton.


Katie Tullia as Elizabeth Critchley Ashton.
Katie is a rising actress from Quipoly NSW.

THE PRODUCTION CREW

WRITER-DIRECTOR-PRODUCER
 Leonie Kelly has been working in film for over 5 years. She has written and directed a variety of shorts and now a feature film.


DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Susan Lumsdon is a female Director of Photography based out of Sydney with over 20 years’ experience as a professional.

Experienced in Feature Film, Documentary, TV Production (Comedy, Drama, sports, science & children’s). Has worked for ABC TV, SBS TV, BBC TV, Deutsche Welle - Germany, Chaser Broadcasting, Giant Dwarf , Screen Time, Zapruder's Other Films, Jigsaw, Qual TV, TVC/Commercials, AusAid and the Hamlin Foundation, the Olympic/Paralympic Broadcasting Services.

As well as having her work screened on all major TV channels in Australia she has worked in the UK & US, shot documentaries from the jungles of Borneo to the deserts of Ethiopia and from the Arctic to Times Square in New York.

Short films that Susan has worked on have also screened at the New York film festival and won awards at the Charleston Film festival. Susan was a camera operator on Australia’s first ever Emmy Award winning program the “La Boehme Opera”. Her Documentary series about the Dead Sea Scrolls shot across three continents was highly commended at the New York Film Festival.

• 20+ years International professional experience
• Extensive Lighting Experience working both with & without gaffers.
• Experienced documentary Editor with Broadcast TV Credits
• Live TV Broadcast experience




Terence Sadler from IXL at Films with 10 years experience in the television and film industry.
Working on short films to TVC and corporate events just to name a few "The Landing" "Twn Peaks Challenge" "Guakrogers Holden Love working in the film industry in all aspects





COSTUME DESIGNER 
 Cindy Sutherland is one of the great artists in Manilla.
