Build Yargo Community Band a bandroom

$1,100 of $5,000 goal

Raised by 6 people in 55 months
After losing a rehearsal space due to political fun stuff, the band has an opportunity to share space in a warehouse. This rehearsal space will provide ease of access for our less mobile members, provide secure storage for our equipment and a stable rehearsal space for the large band and two small ensembles. We need to enclose the area so it can be climate controlled. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Dear Yargo Community Band Supporters:

We have gotten an estimate on materials to construct the bandroom for $2800.00. We are still quite far from our goal so please share our request with your family, friends, c0-workers and anyone you think might be willing to donate.

This bandroom will be a custom home for YCCB. Since 2006, we have been rehearsing and performing as a group. This will give us a stable rehearsal home with road frontage allowing us to advertise the group. We have had several people come in and inquire about the band since Bill put our sign up in the window. Just imagine how strong we can be!

Our current rehearsal space in the front part of the warehouse is only temporary. We hope to start construction around the first of the year.

Thank you for all your support!

Great news! Johns Manville has donated insulation for the construction of the bandroom. Thank you to Frank Janney for this generous donation. The plans for the bandroom have been received and sent to a contractor for review. Hopefully, we will soon have a list of materials we still need.

Donations are still needed to buy lumber, drywall, flooring, etc. Please share our request with everyone you know and ask them to donate just a bit. Every little bit helps!

We have raised $1,100 to date and still have a ways to go. Prefer to donate by check? Please make check payable to Yargo Community Band and mail it to 575 Caseys Crossing, Winder, GA 30680.

Yargo Community Band is a 501(c)3 non profit and all donations are tax deductible. Questions? Call Michelle at 678-227-3741

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Bandroom fundraiser. While the GoFundMe shows only $320, the donations we have received so far have totaled up to over $1000! We are very excited.

Michelle will be meeting with folks from Hill's Ace Hardware to take a look at the space and get estimates on material costs. Construction should be beginning soon.

Please remember to share the Build a Bandroom fundraiser with all your email and Facebook buddies. Some employers offer a fundraising match for non-profits. Check with yours and see! The worst they can say is no.

Music for a lifetime!
