Funeral and expenses needed

Hi, my name is Karen and I'm trying to raise money to help a family that has had a lifetime of illness and hardship.

This is the story of Kim Grieff. She married my husbands best friend in 1992. Life was treating her pretty well. She had beautiful children, a nice home, friends and she thought...good health.  She lost a child a few hours after birth.  Then when her last daughter was born they struggled with the baby having cancer.  They have endured so much! Luckily her daughter beat the odds and is a vibrant 14 year old today. That all changed in 2006. That's when Kim's  nightmare began.
In 2006. At the age of 38 she suffered 2 seizures due to HUS (hemologic uremic syndrome). This was only the beginning.  In 2007 Kim was diagnosed with. Schleroderma.  In stage 1 of the disease it causes hardening of the soft tissues around the joints: hands, elbows, knees, hips and ankles.
Stage 2 of the disease caused end stage renal failure and she endured dialysis 3 times a week.
In 2013 doctors suggested that a move to a warmer climate would help so Clint (her husband) packed up the family and moved to Arizona.
This caused a dire hardship.....Kim still continued to decline.  Clint was unable to work , taking care of Kim became a a full time job.  The kids suffered also.  They watched their mom go from an extremely vibrant opinionated strong woman to being wheel chair bound and stuggling with everyday life. She wasn't able to go and enjoy her sons baseball games or her daughters softball games....it was exhausting for
her to even go to her dialysis appointments.
In 2015 she was denied for a kidney transplant.  The dialysis continued. Kim getting weaker all the time.
2017...... The family moved back to the Mazon, Il area to be close to what family and friends they have left.  Her husband lost his  last surviving brother a month ago.
Kim made the journey back to Illinois only to be admitted to the hospital the next day.  She spent a week there and was then told because of the extensive care she needed she was going to be transfered to a local nursing home. Kim was there for about a week and then  was transported back to the hospital due to not breathing well.
She was diagnosed with pneumonia and sepsis. This was caused caused from her weakened condition due to the scheleroderma.
Unfortunately Kim succumbed to her illness and lost her battle on Monday July 17, 2017.

Her family is desperately in need of financial assistance.  Kim was uninsurable due to her health.  She had no life insurance.  Her husband has yet to find employment since all the distress since they've been back.  Presently they do not even have a home.  They are depending on the generosity of others for a place to stay right now.
Their 3 kids should be starting school soon and need some stability.

Any amount of donation will be greatly appreciated! It will go to help pay for funeral costs and get them in a home so they can start their healing process.
God Bless you all that are reading this!
