Jen and Rob’s story

I’m asking for help for my friend’s Jen and Rob Brown. Who have suffered the worst pain that a parent can suffer…….the loss of a child.

It is with great sadness and shock to say they lost their son Max tragically on April 9, 2016. He passed away of unknown causes at just 27 years old. Max had a lot of life left to live, he and his bestfriend had just purchased tickets to take a road trip to see Guns N Roses in Seattle. He was a sweet boy who everyone who met him loved him. I met Max and Jen when Max was just 19 months old and watched him grow into a very nice young man. As a small boy he was full of zest and humour who kept us laughing.

On Friday Max had not been feeling well, just a cold no big deal, he went to his room to lay down after work his dad had brought him a Slurpee home to make him feel better. Saturday morning Jen and Rob went to work as usual and when Jen got home after work asked how Max was feeling and Rob had said he hadn’t been out of his room in the short time he had been home. Jen went and knocked on the door and didn’t get an answer, they found a way to unlock the door and when they went in they found the unimaginable…….Max was in his room on his couch unresponsive, the paramedics arrived and there was nothing they could do...... he was gone.

As you can imagine, the pain and shouldering the loss of your child is hard enough.to make things worse, and even more stressful, they have no extra money to make final arrangements for their child.

Jen is in a state of shock, and is unable to work right now. So you can imagine the strain of going with only one paycheck makes things extremely tight. Rob has been home with Jen trying to help keep her together and tending to their daughter as well. Who is having a tough time dealing with losing her brother and best friend.

Jen and Rob also feel they have to move as they can not get the picture of their boy out of their head and as we all know moving is not cheap especially if you have animals.

If you have the means to help my friends in the toughest time of their lives, any and all donations will be appreciated and accepted with extreme gratitude. It will go to help and unimaginable situations a little easier with taking away some of the financial Burdon of making final arrangements for her first born baby and moving expenses.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
