Help Are Children
I live in Mena, AR. You've probably never heard of this town, but it's 90 minutes south of Fort Smith or Hot Springs. Just follow 71 S until you see portraits of Jesus and confederate flags; that's when you know you're getting close. We have a a public school system, and a college. They all have small libraries in them, but you have to be a student to use them. We do have a local library, but I'm at least 78% sure we could do better. I want to start a campaign to raise money for our community library that everyone has access to, but no one really goes to. The books are kinda old, and younger people are quickly losing interest. We'd rather be galavanting around in our big yee yee trucks than practice reading on grade level. I'd like to donate the funds raised to our local library so they're able to host more activities, and get more books that the next generation will enjoy. This town really needs something to do.
*Everyone makes mistakes, not everyone in our town is undereducated, we have amazing teachers at MHS, but having a better library would be nice.
