Study Abroad to Tanzania, Africa

Hi. I am Aaliyah Hammond, a current sophomore at Birmingham-Southern College. I plan to study abroad in Tanzania, Africa in January 2020 for three weeks during my school's Exploration Term.  The purpose of this trip is to conduct community-based research, in which we will use sociological research methods to help local organizations. We will gain hands-on research experience and learn about people and culture of Tanzania. My ultimate goal is to raise $2500. In addition to the GoFundMe, I plan to participate in multiple fundraisers as well. It is important to me to travel to Tanzania, Africa to understand the history of the culture such as learning about my heritage, religious aspects, different food, and making an impact on adults and children's lives from a different country. Please Help me reach my goal so I can create lifelong memories about my first trip to Africa.
