400 miles for 40 orphans

Donation protected
My name is Andrea Love of All4Love International, and I am riding RAGBRAI, a 402.7 mile bike ride across Iowa, as a fundraising campaign called "Riding 400 for 40."

The money raised through Riding 400 for 40 is to help support the selfless work being done by Pastor Moses Mutongole and his Immanuel Development Foundation in Wakiso, Uganda.

IDF is an organization, started by Moses, and dedicated to help the needy, women, youths and children, especially AIDS orphans and their families, in Wakiso, Uganda to overcome poverty and hopelessness by providing basic needs, education, medical provision and guidance into opportunities for their futures.

IDF was founded by Pastor Moses and his late wife.
Before his wife passed away in childbirth in 2016, the two had purchased land on which to build a school, a children's clinic and housing for the 40 orphans they had taken in and were raising.

Moses is now singlehandedly raising these 40 orphans by himself, and is in great need of financial support - both for the daily needs such as food, education costs and basic medical care as it arises, as well as for his long-term vision of building a complete children's centre to serve his local and regional community.  As you can imagine, this is a huge challenge. Raising 40 kids alone is a challenge, let alone to raise 40 kids while also trying to work and raise funding and all of this by himself after just losing his love and partner. The logistics and emotions of it all are staggering.  But he is an exceptional man and is determined to move forward with the vision they began.

Moses is a very dear friend of mine, and I assure you what he is doing is nothing short of life-changing for the children and totally transformative for his local community.  He is truly an unsung hero in this world.

AND HE NEEDS OUR HELP.

This is why I am using my upcoming RAGBRAI bike ride as a fundraising opportunity for him and the children whose lives he is saving and totally transforming.

Please, donate to help this worthy cause. Every penny of your donation is going DIRECTLY to the people who need it most, not getting chipped away by operating costs and expenses of a large non-profit.

Again, I assure you - Every dollar you donate will go directly to IDF to help them accomplish their goals - both of meeting the daily needs of the children, as well as providing funding for the construction of their school, housing and children's clinic. The more we can raise, the better.  In total, IDF estimates they need $25,000 for their long-term building projects. That is in addition to the money they need to provide for the children's daily needs, such as food, clean water, medical care, etc.

You can donate to this GoFundMe with one lump sum, or you may pledge a specific amount for every mile I ride and pay the total amount upon my completion of the ride. If you want to donate per mile, please comment in the comments section so I can follow up with you.

I ask you: will you see them? Will you see the children? Will you let your heart feel their hearts and their needs? And will you partner with us as we joyfully raise the funding to continue saving these childrens' lives? In doing so you are supporting a true hero and acting as a hero yourself to these children.

We all thank you, in advance, for your contribution.

With love, from Andrea, Moses, and the precious children of Wakiso, Uganda.
